BOOM recruit 13

The Brazilian youngster joins the team as a backup player before one of the biggest tournaments of the year in the country.
BOOM have announced that they have added João "snow" Vinicius to their Counter-Strikesquad. The 13-year-old joins the team as a backup option ahead of Gamers Club Masters V, an online tournament featuring some of the best South American sides.
snow has recently emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Brazilian Counter-Strike. His performances in pugs, which he often streams, caught the eye of BOOM's players, who see plenty of potential in the youngster.

"I feel very happy to join BOOM Esports even if it is for one tournament," the 13-year-old said in a statement. "It really is a dream come true and I believe this is a result of my dedication. I'm ready to show my skills for the team."
Gamers Club Masters V will be held online from July 30 through August 2, with $11,400 on offer. Besides BOOM, the tournament will feature teams like Isurus, paiN and RED Canids.
BOOM, who are currently leading the Regional Major Rankings (RMR) in South America after winning ESL One: Road to Rio, will use this tournament as preparation for ESL Pro League Season 12, which will kick off on September 2. ESL is looking into the possibility of hosting the prestigious league on LAN, a decision which will depend on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic in the coming weeks.
With this move, BOOM will field the following lineup in GC Masters V:
Gustavo "yel" Knittel
Ricardo "boltz" Prass
Bruno "shz" Martinelli
Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes
João "felps" Vasconcellos
João "snow" Vinicius (backup)
Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci (coach)
